ABIS online - Advanced Bacterial Identification Software isa developed lab tool for bacterial identification based on morpho-biochemical characters, morphology, growth conditions, ecology & pathogenicity data. The program allows a great flexibility in choosing biochemical tests and may be an alternative to commercial systems or code-books.
Software is also linked with a germs Encyclopedia and an antibiogram interpreter.
Main identifiable categories: Enterobacteriaceae, Pasteurellaceae, Campylobacteraceae, Bacillaceae, Staphylococus, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas and related species. More than 700 species are included in databases and more than 800 species in encyclopedia.
A beta version of 16S RNA gene sequence identification is also availabe from the main menu.
Although we have optimised the program for Android operating system, some minor graphical issues may appear on low screen resolution devices. This is why we still recommend using the Windows OS for the best performance.
